We are hiring a Principal Investigator (Archaeologist) to lead and manage archaeological projects across Texas and nearby states. This role involves Phase I-III fieldwork artifact analysis and contributing to high-quality archaeological reports. You will also help grow our cultural resources team in Texas.
Responsibilities:
- Lead small to medium projects or co-manage larger ones.
- Conduct field investigations identify artifacts and assess archaeological sites.
- Document research write site forms and report sections.
- Collaborate with field lab and office staff to meet project and professional standards.
- Support proposals budgets and business development efforts.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Anthropology or related field.
- Meets the Secretary of the Interiors Standards for Archaeologists.
- 5 years in archaeology/CRM; 3 years in leadership.
- Experience in Texas Oklahoma or Louisiana; Section 106 and Antiquities Code knowledge.
- Phase I-III fieldwork supervision and experience with Federal Agencies/Tribal Nations.
- Valid drivers license; writing sample and professional references required.
Preferred Skills:
- Registered Professional Archaeologist (or eligible).
- GIS ArcGIS ArcMap Field Maps AutoCAD/MicroStation experience.
- Lab and curation experience.
