Vehicle Test Technician
Location: Oshkosh Wisconsin
Type: Long-Term Contract - 12 Months (Potential for Extension)
About the Role
Were looking for a hands-on Vehicle Test Technician to support the testing troubleshooting and repair of prototype and production vehicles. Youll work closely with engineers and senior technicians to validate new designs diagnose issues and ensure our vehicles meet top performance and safety standards.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced diesel or automotive technician who wants to grow their skills in a professional engineering and testing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and perform vehicle and component tests record data and report results.
- Diagnose and repair electrical hydraulic pneumatic and mechanical systems.
- Assemble and fabricate test stands parts and vehicle components.
- Operate vehicles and heavy equipment safely during testing.
- Collaborate with engineers to identify and resolve technical issues.
Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship required
- Technical diploma or equivalent hands-on experience (4 years 1 year education)
- 3 years of experience as a heavy-duty diesel or automotive technician
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read engineering drawings and follow detailed procedures
- Must have or be willing to obtain mechanic tool set and toolbox (Defense segment)
- Ability to travel up to 10%
Preferred:
- Associate degree or related technical certification
- CDL or Telehandler/AWP license
