Whats the Job
As the new Associate Vice President (AVP) of Insurance Data Operations you will be reporting directly to the Senior Vice President of Insurance Data Operations. You will be managing one person to begin with then one (and more) people starting next year. This is an on-site position 4 days a week in their Boston office.
Insurance is a new vertical with my client. Therefore you will be responsible for all data-related transformation projects to help improve underlying processes and user behavior.
This includes:
Overseeing the design of insurance data models ensuring that data structures reflect business logic and enable accurate scalable reporting and analytics.
Defining detailed data requirements by engaging with business stakeholders across finance actuarial investments and risk to capture use cases and translate them into technical specifications.
Partnering with technology teams to design build and enhance insurance data platforms and curate consumable data products ensuring reliability scalability and ease of use.
Leading testing and validation efforts ensuring data model integrity and accuracy before rollout.
Implementing data governance standards ensuring all insurance data is well-defined cataloged and documented for consistent usage across the firm.
Providing business-driven analytics and ad hoc insights while leveraging centralized data products.
What Skills Do You Need
Strong SQL experience (writing queries and data quality in SQL).
Strong Python experience (not writing stored procedures but using Python for data governance to write rules expressing criteria).
Experience with process transformation.
Excellent communication skills and interest in interacting with stakeholders.
You ideally have some management experience.
