The Chemtech division of Sulzer is the global market leader in innovative mass transfer static mixing and polymer solutions for chemicals petrochemicals refining and LNG. The ecological solutions of Sulzer such as bio-based chemicals polymers and fuels recycling technologies for textiles and plastic as well as carbon capture and utilization/storage are contributing to a circular and sustainable economy. Sulzer Chemtech Separation Technology (ST part of Sulzers Chemtech division) develops designs and produces mass transfer equipment (e.g. trays structured packing gas liquid separators etc.) for separation processes like distillation absorption stripping evaporation and phase separation. Also installation of this equipment is part of our portfolio.

We now have an opportunity for a Head of Sales MTCS Benelux to support and help grow our activities in the Benelux territories. Based in our Breda Sulzer Chemtech office you will be managing the experienced local sales team supported by our application specialists based in our HQ in Switzerland and Service Centre in the UK. We are looking for a Sales Manager with experience ideally in the environment of the Renewables Oil &Gas Refinery or Chemical market.

In this role you will be accountable for:

Lead our local Sales Team and enable them to unlock our full professional and market potential

Development and implementation of sales plans as well as planning and execution of sales activities and strategies for the Benelux territory to include key account development white spot conversion and win-back strategies growing order intake and market penetration

Review customer technical and commercial RFQs to determine technical solutions and support our proposals team to produce costing- cash flow- and risk analysis in line with our internal requirements

Leading negotiations of technical/commercial proposals with customers and securing order awards

Proactively identifying and progressing opportunities with customers to include customer visits & reporting presentation of our portfolio and ensuring technical / commercial preference positions for Sulzer

To succeed in this role you will need:

Bachelors Degree or equivalent in preferably chemical engineering or mechanical engineering

Minimum 5 years of international sales experience preferably in a service environment of the Renewables Oil &Gas Refinery or Chemical industry

A high level of flexibility excellent developed organizational communication and project management skills

The ability to work independently as well as in a team

To be fluent in both English and Dutch

To be willing to travel mainly within Benelux and occasionally outside of the Benelux

To have a valid Dutch drivers license B

Location:

We are based in Breda which is a great place to live and work. Located in the central south of the Netherlands the cozy city center of Breda is within an hour of travel from Rotterdam and Antwerp and therefore a practical place to work this job you will be visiting clients working with your colleagues in the Sulzer Chemtech Breda office and partly working from home as well.
