Role Overview
The Senior Vulnerability Management Advisor will work under the Associate Director for Offensive Application and Vulnerability Security. This expert is responsible for leading coordinating and executing operational activities related to offensive security and enterprise-wide vulnerability management.
This role ensures the vulnerability management process functions effectively across IT and business units identifies obstacles reports status to governance and helps optimize operational workflows. The advisor also contributes to solving complex vulnerability-related issues by collaborating with asset owners and system administrators.
Key Responsibilities
Vulnerability Management
- Oversee and ensure smooth operation of the vulnerability management process.
- Track and monitor execution across IT and business teams.
- Identify bottlenecks and escalate blockers to security governance.
- Recommend improvements for operational vulnerability processes.
- Guide teams through remediation activities and help prioritize fixes.
Offensive Security Support
- Participate in offensive security initiatives as part of the security program.
- Provide expert input and recommendations for addressing identified vulnerabilities.
- Support asset owners and system administrators in understanding risks and implementing remediation plans.
Governance Coordination & Leadership
- Align and orchestrate security activities across business and corporate units.
- Provide leadership and influence in cross-functional security initiatives.
- Support senior leadership in optimizing and maturing security operations.
- Act as a trusted expert with strong political acumen and persuasive communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- 10 years of experience in IT
- 5 years of hands-on experience in vulnerability management
- Strong knowledge of vulnerability assessment tools remediation workflows and risk prioritization
