We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse with a strong background in Neuro Scrub nursing to join a leading private hospital in Pretoria. This is a full-time opportunity for a professional who thrives in a high-acuity surgical environment and is passionate about delivering safe specialised care.
As a Neuro Scrub Nurse you will play a pivotal role in supporting complex neurological and ENT procedures working closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Key Requirements:
To be considered for this role candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Registered with the South African Nursing Council as a Professional Nurse
- Minimum of 3 years experience in theatre nursing with a focus on neurological procedures
- Proven competence in cranial inter-cranial and spinal surgeries
- Proficient in handling specialised neuro equipment including microscopes spinal beds and CUSA
- Experience in ENT surgery is essential
- Sound knowledge of general and specialised nursing theory and modern clinical practices
- Ability to function effectively in a multidisciplinary team and act as a clinical resource
- Strong documentation planning and emergency response skills
Responsibilities:
- Deliver advanced individualised nursing care in line with clinical protocols and best practice
- Support and mentor junior staff and students in collaboration with clinical facilitators
- Participate in policy development quality assurance and risk management initiatives
- Maintain effective communication with patients families and healthcare professionals
- Contribute to continuous improvement in patient care and operational efficiency
