About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior SAP Functional Consultant to join our dynamic IT team. This role will focus on SAP Payroll & Benefits including payroll accounting compensation and benefits management and company pension schemes. The successful candidate will ensure accurate payroll results in line with statutory collective and company agreements while providing functional and operational support to business teams across multiple countries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide operational support for SAP payroll runs across different regions.
- Maintain payroll schemas rules and configurations according to business requirements.
- Conduct functional and system integration tests.
- Manage and resolve incident and service request tickets related to SAP HCM Payroll ensuring adherence to SLAs.
- Collaborate closely with IT providers internal stakeholders and business teams to troubleshoot and optimize processes.
- Take end-to-end responsibility for functions and products from requirement gathering to implementation and issue resolution.
- Apply test-driven development and Agile methodologies (e.g. Scrum) for continuous delivery.
- Manage software lifecycle including continuous integration and deployment of SAP applications.
- Execute development activities and independently program IT solutions as needed.
Requirements
Essential Skills:
Expertise in SAP Payroll operations and configuration (Schemas/Rules wage types customizing).
Strong knowledge of SAP HCM modules (PA/OM/PT).
Proficient understanding of payroll processes and best practices.
Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality and accuracy.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with ability to work effectively in a team.
Advantageous Skills:
SAP technical experience (forms printing solutions RFCs).
Familiarity with ticketing systems (e.g. ServiceNow Jira).
Knowledge of ITIL processes.
Experience in multinational environments.
Exposure to company pension administration.
Knowledge of US-specific payroll requirements is a bonus.
Qualifications & Experience:
SAP HCM certification.
Minimum of 6 years of experience in SAP HCM Payroll operations support or development.
