Job Summary

METER Group is seeking aManufacturing Engineering Technician whois responsible forprogramming setting up andmaintainingautomated equipment used in the production of electronic components and assemblies. This role ensuresoptimalmachine performance supports continuousimprovement initiatives and collaborates with engineering and production teams to meetquality and efficiency goals.

This role works from our Pullman WA office.

For informational purposes the entire pay range for this role is $22.69-$ we expect to make anofferatsomewhere between $22.69and $27.17. Please keep this in mind when applying for this are open to reviewingcandidates withmore or less experience; the pay range may differ if filled at a different level. Our offer will be based on job-related factors such as candidate experience training knowledge and skills.

Minimum Qualifications:

Associate degree or technical certification in Electronics Manufacturing
Technology or related field (or equivalent experience).
2 years of experience programming SMT or other electronics manufacturing
equipment
Strong understanding of electronic components PCB assembly processes and
qualitystandards.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.

Responsibilities:

Program and operate SMT (Surface Mount Technology) machines pick-and-place
equipment reflow ovens and other automated manufacturing systems.
Program andoperatemachines outside of the SMT area
Interpret engineering drawings BOMs and Gerber files to createaccuratemachine
programs.
Perform machine setup calibration and first-article inspection to ensure proper
operation.
Troubleshoot and resolve machine errorscomponentplacement issues and
processdeviations.
Collaborate with process engineers tooptimizeproduction workflows and reduce
cycle times.
Maintainaccuratedocumentation of machine programs setup sheets and
maintenance logs.
Create andmaintainproduction power BI dashboards
Create SW as needed for production division QA software and answer PA
Train operators and technicians on machine operation and best practices.
Support new product introductions (NPI) and engineering change orders (ECOs).
Ensure compliance with quality standards (e.g. IPC-A-610 ISO 9001) and safety
protocols.
Coordinate with Equipment Maintenance toidentifyfall downsin automated
processes andmoveto implement long-term fixes.

Physical requirements:
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds over short distances as needed. Sitting for extended periods of time bending twisting and other movement consistent withanelectronicsproductionenvironment.
