About the role
This is a Werkstudent position. You must be enrolled at aGerman university for the entire duration of the contract.
As a Software Engineering Working Student in Data Backend Development at MAPEGY you will be involved in assisting with the development and maintenance of our data-driven backend systems. You will be responsible for maintaining good standards in our code infrastructure. For that you will use in house tooling which helps you to identify possible weak spots. You will be responsible for reporting those to the development team and suggest or implement possible solutions.

As a Software Engineering Working Student in Data Backend Development at MAPEGY you will be involved in assisting with the development and maintenance of our data-driven backend systems. Your responsibilities
- Support the team in implementing and maintaining backend systems.
- Participate in the development of server-side logic and database solutions.
- Assist in optimizing our backend applications for maximum speed and efficiency.
- Help in maintaining code quality.
- Engage in collaborative problem-solving sophisticated design and quality product delivery.
Ideal candidates:
- Are enrolled in Computer Science Software Engineering or a related field.
- Have programming experience especially with PostgreSQL and Python.
- Understand core software engineering concepts and tools (e.g. testing Git).
- Show strong interest in data-driven applications and backend development.
- Prior experience or coursework in backend development databases or data structures.
- Experience with Docker.
- Experience with pglast FastAPI or Pydantic.
- 1020 hours per week
- Fully remote with the option to meet in Berlin
- Flexible working hours
- 12-year contract
