Young Harris College and the Office of Student Development invite applications from qualified candidates for a part-time counselor position. The counselor is responsible for providing counseling psychological services and/or therapy to students. The counselors primary role is assessing students needs and providing short-term counseling and crisis intervention. They will direct clinical services to students for assessment and treatment as appropriate to clinical training and licensure. Required qualifications include an earned masters or an advanced degree in Counseling Psychology or Social Work from an accredited institution of higher education. Applicant must be licensed in the state of Georgia as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or an Associate Professional Counselor (ALPC) eligible for licensure in the state of Georgia within one year of being hired. Prior experience in a college or university counseling center setting is preferred.
