Achievement Centers for Children is a Cleveland area nonprofit that helps children and young adults with disabilities and their families achieve and thrive. We provide therapy education recreation and family support across Northeast Ohio. Our teams are mission driven and deeply committed to the families we serve.
We are creating a new Manager Learning & Development role to build a modern engaging learning experience that truly changes how our staff and leaders grow. This is a ground floor opportunity for a creative innovative L & D leader who loves building things not just maintaining what already exists.
In this role you will:
- Design and lead our overall learning and development strategy for staff and leaders
- Own our learning management system and create easy to follow learning paths
- Build a clear welcoming new hire orientation and first year learning journey
- Create practical development experiences for supervisors managers and leaders
- Partner with HR and leaders to connect learning to performance and outcomes
- Use feedback and data to improve programs and show impact
You are a strong fit if you:
- Bring five or more years of experience in learning and development or a related area
- Enjoy designing learning for adult learners and facilitating sessions in person and virtually
- Have experience using a learning management system and basic reporting
- Are energized by building new programs trying new ideas and simplifying the complex
- Communicate clearly listen well and build strong relationships with leaders and staff
- Nonprofit or human services experience is a plus but not required
