Caterpillar has an exciting opportunity for a Marketing Communications Consultant to join our Digital Technology & Distribution (DT&D) Segment. This role will provide support for and analysis of marketing and promotions as well as liaison for external creative suppliers internal industry and regional marketing teams. Specifically this position supports talent acquisition including students and graduates management and production for our segment plus digital and commercial functional recruitment teams.
What you will do:
Digital Technology & Distribution (DTD) Global Recruitment Marketing Support as the main point of contact & support across DTD segment plus Digital and Commercial functional teams for recruitment marketing across Students & Graduates Production Management & Support talent acquisition.
Manage digital material creation (i.e. LinkedIn flyers) and physical material creation (i.e. buttons tickets t-shirts billboards banners) for segment talent acquisition.
Responsible for all brand approvals visualizations of key messages & recruitment communications for segment TA.
Run external paid media marketing campaigns including stakeholder meetings proposal submissions and partnerships with internal and external vendors to implementation.
Communications support across talent acquisition team with creation of materials graphics videos and recruiter playbook.
Run point for segment on projects and partnership with the centralized enterprise brand and social media teams.
Support marketing and promotion efforts by coordinating logistics providing creative input and acting as a liaison for creative suppliers and internal industry teams.
Provide recommendations and consultative approach to TA Partners for campaigns & marketing efforts for hiring
Have a strong understanding of brand standards and best practices for content.
Work with various Caterpillar teams on marketing and promotion projects.
Manage the process of measuring impact of marketing campaigns and communicating those metrics.
Update and develop relevant metrics dashboards for leadership and then use this knowledge to review and help guide media plans.
Administer and manage our Enterprise Brand Analysis and consult with brand and industry teams on the use of that data to guide marketing messaging.
There will be potential travel to recruiting events when needed.
Have a high-level understanding of end customer needs that enables the incumbent to guide marketing messaging. Decisions made by this position are variable.
Challenges include influencing marketing efforts of various industry teams and guiding execution of external creative suppliers.
Conducting market/competitive research to identify new opportunities and industry trends.
Monitor metrics to review the effectiveness of existing marketing tactics and benchmarking talent intelligence to stay ahead of what candidates are desiring
Maintaining effective communications in the marketing department to discuss and align the marketing strategy to the changing business target.

Promotion and Marketing Communications: Knowledge of different promotional and marketing communication techniques; ability to use different marketing channels and tools in combination to focus on how a business communicates a message to the market.
Top candidates will also have:
Bachelors degree in marketing communications business or a related field or equivalent experience
2 years of job-related experience working with marketing communications and/or recruitment marketing
Strong communication and writing skills
Experience working with international teams
Solid project management skills including working across multiple time sensitive tasks for a variety of stakeholders
Marketing experience
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Excellent interpersonal skills

This position is ideally located in Peoria IL Chicago IL or Dallas TX.

Summary Pay Range:
$95640.00 - $143520.00Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors job level market locationjob-related knowledge skills individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
