Job Summary

Electrician Crane B (Crane Electrician)

Location: Silverdale Washington (Bangor)

Type: Non-Exempt

Work Schedule: Full-time

Compensation: $43.51/hour

The Electrician Crane B is responsible for the installation maintenance troubleshooting and repair of electrical systems and components of various types of crane equipment.

Typical duties include but are not limited to:

  • Diagnosing and repairing electrical issues in crane systems including motors controls and other components.

  • Perform regular inspections and maintenance to identify potential problems and ensure optimal performance.

  • Installing new electrical systems or upgrading existing ones including wiring control panels and other components.

  • Conducting thorough inspections of crane electrical systems to ensure compliance with safety regulations and identify potential hazards.

  • Reading and interpreting electrical blueprints and schematics to understand the layout and functionality of crane electrical systems.

  • Completing detailed reports on inspections repairs and maintenance activities.

Qualifications:

  • HS/GED and 3-5 years of experience; equivalent combination of experience and education allowed

  • Strong understanding of electrical theory AC/DC systems motor controls and other electrical components.

  • Strong understanding of crane safety protocols and emergency procedures.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints technical drawings and operational manuals.

  • Excellent hand-eye coordination spatial awareness and attention to detail.

  • Strong communication skills with the capability to work well within a team.

Physical Requirements:

Employees must have the ability to perform the following physical demands for extended periods of time with or without assistance. The physical demands of this position may be reasonably accommodated for individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions on a case-by-case basis.

  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

  • May be to reach kneel walk stand and use repetitive motion for several hours at a time based on position duties.

  • Work may require repetitive motion reaching lifting kneeling and walking. Standing or sitting for several hours at a time climbing in and out of a vehicle and up and down stairs may also be .

  • Must have the perseverance to work effectively under pressure for extended periods of time.

Requirements:

  • A valid state drivers license is with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Tesseras insurance.
