Job Summary

GeneralManager - Up to 50k - January Start

Were on the lookout for a General Manager with experience running food-lead sites for the Bear in Oxshott as we look forward to investing in a stunning refurbishment in Spring 2026. The Bear is situated on the main street of one of the most desirable villages to live in Surrey and has a reputation for fanatastic food and service.

We are looking for someone who has experience running food-lead premium businesses - you should be used to working with fresh food be passionate about delivering a phenomenal guest experience and above all else be people centric - The Bear gets plenty of visitors who come for a meal although it is of course a village pub - so the General Manager needs to be able to wow the locals as much as those who drive and dine!

This is a live out role and fresh food experience is essential.

Running a Pub for Youngs:

We believe pubs should be differentiated and individual andso we are looking for entrepreneurial General Managers to put their own stampon our businesses. Were all about freedom within a framework - you decide whatgoes on the food menu - and that doesnt mean picking from a bank of recipes!You tailor your offer to your guests and grow the business in line with yourbusiness vision! You decide what events and sales driving to do what theteam uniform is and look after all your own recruitment and you are a people-focused Pub General Manager with fresh food experiencethen we want to hear from you.
