Wor-Wic Community College is looking for students to fill the position of student ambassador. Essential Duties
The following lists are not intended as nor should they be construed as exhaustive of all responsibilities skills or working conditions associated with these positions.
Student Engagement Duties
- Maintains active membership in at least one student organization
- Acts as a peer influencer by encouraging classmates and new students to join student organizations clubs and campus leadership opportunities
- Partners with Student Government Association (SGA) and other student organizations to highlight events and initiatives
- Helps strengthen the pipeline of student leaders by identifying and mentoring new potential ambassadors
Content Promotion and Social Media Duties- Manages and supports SGAs social media presence by creating and scheduling engaging content that highlights student events leadership opportunities and campus involvement
- Creates at least four social media posts per semester focused on student life major events and campus-wide initiatives
- Supports SGA and student engagement and belonging by distributing flyers sharing event promotions and passing out Wor-Wic merchandise
- Maintains authenticity by sharing real student perspectives that highlight engagement and belonging on campus
Event and Campus Support Duties- Assists admissions during open houses high school visits transfer fairs and virtual sessions by sharing authentic student experiences
- Acts as a peer representative for prospective students and families during tours and campus visits
- Provides testimonials for digital and print campaigns promoting student engagement and belonging
- Shares individual story with prospective students during open houses high school visits transfer fairs and virtual sessions
Office Hours and Student Support Duties- Maintains weekly office hours in the student engagement and belonging and/or communications offices
- Assists with the food pantry operation
- Provides hands-on support for student engagement and belonging events
- Performs other administrative assignments as needed
Minimum Requirements
To be eligible for a student ambassador position candidates must:
- Have completed at least one semester or at least six college credits by the start date of the position
- Be enrolled in a degree or certificate program with the intent to complete
- Be enrolled in a minimum of six credits during the semester of participation
- Have a minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA
- Be in good academic and disciplinary standing
- Be willing to adhere to a professional working environment including the ability to work productively with various leaders on complex tasks and being open and honest about potential concerns
- Have knowledge and expertise in various social media platforms and email
- Be available for mandatory training prior to the start of the semester and mandatory bi-weekly meetings throughout the semester
- Preference will be given to students with a 2.5 cumulative GPA and experience using Microsoft Teams and Canva

These positions are paid the federal minimum wage currently $15.00 per hour and do not include benefits.
