Job Summary

The David Swensen Gallery at Yale Investments is offering a unique opportunity for a Yale artist (or artists) to exhibit work in a dynamic new space. Interested grad and undergrad artists are encouraged to submit a proposed curatorial statement and portfolio that reflects whatever inspires them. We are open to art in a wide variety of media and the exhibition may also feature work from multiple artists but we kindly request that all pieces are appropriate for a public office space. The works subject to approval by the gallery team will be displayed at 265 Church St beginning on or around January 1 2026. The exhibition will conclude in December 2026 though the Swensen Gallery can be flexible with individual timeline needs.

In addition to a $3000 stipend the artist will have a budget for materials and gallery installation - at the artists discretion subject to approval. The artist will meet with the gallery team every two weeks and be responsible for the curation planning budgeting and logistics of the work(s) shown as well as writing any necessary texts (e.g. labels brief curatorial statement). Assistance with the physical installation of the artworks will be provided including production of gallery signage. Proposals are due Sunday November 30 2025 at 11:59pm EST.
