ROLE SUMMARY:
St Georges International School is currently seeking a new PE Teacher to complete the 2026 academic year.
You would be joining a multicultural international environment with students from diverse backgrounds and a highly collaborative staff community. This will be a fixed-term contract at 100%.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Teach PE in Middle School (Y69) and Senior School (Y1013) within Cambridge IGCSE and IB programmes.
Coach a range of school sports.
Support Junior School sports provision (Y35).
Manage one of the schools sports academies.
Ensure good planning supervision and discipline.
Deliver engaging inquiry-based lessons.
Develop students core skills and make interdisciplinary links.
Show strong drive energy and teamwork.
Maintain high expectations for self and students.
Follow departmental assessment policies.
Write academic reports.
Attend parentteacher/tutor conferences.
Attend scheduled school meetings.
Cover lessons when needed.
Provide extra-curricular coaching.
Tutor a group of around 10 students (Y713).
Act as a role model and ambassador for the school.
Build positive relationships with colleagues and parents.
Demonstrate international-mindedness and support a multilingual environment.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
- Experience of teaching IGCSE PE and IBDP Sport Exercise and Health Science
- Experience in coaching school sport
- the ideal candidate will have: A minimum of 3 years experience with students in a secondary school
- Confidence with use of ICT in teaching
- University degree in PE and/or in a related subject
- Certified Teaching Status
