Position Summary and Scope of Service
Reporting to the Manager and consistent with the mission values and policies of the Communications Coordinator is a critical role in ensuring the success of business and operations.
Exemplifying the mission vision and values of the Communications Coordinator works collaboratively with partnered programs while offering employees respectful customer service. They are responsible for planning and implementing effective digital communications strategy and ongoing evaluation for (including the Research Centre) and supporting the Foundation communications plans.
The focus of this position is on external communications that will ensure that the general public and other audiences are fully aware of news information programs and services while also advocating and elevating the perception of people labelled with intellectual disability. This position also focuses on internal communication between all program areas and the over 2000 employees and volunteers that work with . This position is critical to supporting a positive transparent and compassionate culture experienced by staff in the organization.
