The Senior Project Manager our team is looking for will lead the execution of architecture and design lead interdisciplinary projects with a focus of serving our clients and meeting business expectations. The responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:
- Leading the delivery of project from proposal phase through to client handover.
- Acts as primary point of contact for Clients and manages the relationship with all stakeholders
- Collaboratively develop internally and with project stakeholders project guidelines and objectives to define success of a project.
- Manages all aspects of a project including project needs and requirements schedule fees deliverables contract terms and conditions and the like.
- Accountable for delivering successful projects on behalf of AECOM.
- Develop and monitor a detailed project plan and technical approaches to track progress and identify shortfalls in a timely manner.
- Manage changes to the project scope project schedule and project costs to minimize risk.
- Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques and provide senior management with project updates included status of project budget deliverables quality and client relationship.
- Perform risk management to minimize negative consequences from risk.
- Manage and direct professional and technical staff to create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
- Understand how contractual terms and conditions impact the project and manage accordingly
- Understand business acumen associated with project management and deliver anticipated financial metrics.
- Coordination of internal and external project team members.
- Ensure all projects are delivered on-time within scope and within budget to the satisfaction of the client.
- Ability to clearly and effectively communicate; written verbal and presentations.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects of varying size and complexity.
- Will lead project pursuits including identification of new business opportunities generation of Scope of Work project team fee production and review of terms and conditions.
Qualifications :
Minimum Requirements:
- Accredited Bachelors degree in Architecture or Building related Engineering and 10 years of experience with an architectural firm or consulting design firm in a building related design field or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Architecture Licensure of Professional Engineer
- Ideal candidate will have 10 or more years of professional experience managing A/E work
- Experience managing A/E Vertical Design Projects as a consultant.
- Experience establishing long term relationships with clients to generate repeat work.
- Superior communication writing editing and reporting skills for a wide variety of audiences
- Detail oriented with strong organizational skills and ability to effectively manage time
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects
- Ability to be client facing
- Team player with excellent listening skills and diplomacy
- Understanding of different contract types and alternative delivery methods (Design Build CMAR)
- PMP Certification or strong understanding of project management best practices such as earned value change management schedule management.
- Experience capturing work in a key market sector.
- Proactive and goal-oriented with the ability to work independently and manage change effectively
- Familiarity with design software necessary for deliverable development (i.e. Revit Autodesk 360 Bluebeam SketchUp Adobe Creative Suite Microsoft Project Power BI etc.).
- Willingness to travel for project needs. Anticipated travel is less than 10% of time.
