Job Summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Temporary Sales Assistant to join our team in Stevenage United Kingdom. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience in a dynamic retail environment whilst contributing to our stores success during our busy period.
- Provide exceptional customer service engaging with customers to understand their needs and offer tailored product recommendations
- Assist with maintaining the stores appearance including product displays and general tidiness
- Support the team in achieving sales targets and store goals
- Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently
- Help with stock replenishment ensuring products are well-presented and easily accessible
- Participate in store operations including deliveries and stock counts
- Collaborate with team members to create a positive shopping experience for all customers
- Adapt to various tasks and responsibilities as required during peak trading times
Qualifications :
- Genuine passion for retail and customer service
- Friendly and confident demeanour with excellent communication skills
- Flexible and adaptable approach to work including availability for weekends evenings and holidays as needed
- Strong team player with a drive to contribute to overall store success
- Basic numeracy skills for handling transactions accurately
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and assist with store maintenance
- Keen attention to detail for maintaining high store standards
- Previous retail experience is beneficial but not essential
- Enthusiasm for learning about products and sharing knowledge with customers
