The Externals Group is partnered with a leading Building Envelope Restoration contractor known for delivering high-quality restoration solutions across their regional market. They are now seeking a driven BER Estimator to support continued growth by promoting specialized restoration services and building strong client relationships.
The BER Estimator will focus exclusively on identifying opportunities educating clients and driving revenue through consultative selling. You will play a key role in growing market presence while working closely with leadership and project teams.
A Day in the Life:
- Develop new business opportunities for Building Envelope Restoration (BER) projects across assigned markets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with owners property managers engineers contractors and other key stakeholders.
- Present tailored BER solutions that meet client needs and align with project objectives.
- Collaborate with the VP of BER and Business Development Leaders to support strategic sales initiatives and expand market share.
- Attend industry networking events pre-bid meetings and client presentations to increase brand visibility.
- Manage the full sales cycle - from prospecting and qualification through proposal delivery and contract negotiation.
- Work closely with estimators and project managers to prepare accurate scopes proposals and budgets.
- Track and report on sales activity pipeline progress and market trends.
- Maintain a deep understanding of BER services materials and competitive advantages.
- Coordinate with production and project teams for smooth handoffs and strong client onboarding.
- Participate in post-project reviews to evaluate client satisfaction and identify areas for improvement.
Key Requirements:
- 57 years experience in sales/business development within Building Envelope Restoration or commercial construction.
- Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales goals.
- Strong consultative selling and relationship-building ability.
- Excellent communication presentation and interpersonal skills.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications (preferred).
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and CRM platforms.
- Self-motivated independent and able to collaborate effectively across teams.
- High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelors degree in Business Marketing or related field preferred.
- Must be able to travel within the assigned territory to client meetings and job sites.
