The Role
We are looking for an experienced Group Procurement Manager with a background in electronic manufacturing to join our Supply Chain team. The Group Procurement Manager is responsible for developing and implementing procurement strategies across the organization to ensure cost efficiency quality and compliance. This role oversees supplier relationships negotiates contracts and drives continuous improvement in sourcing and purchasing processes.
ResponsibilitiesStrategic Procurement Management
- Develop and execute group-wide procurement strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement best practices in sourcing.
Supplier Management
- Establish and maintain strong supplier relationships.
- Conduct supplier evaluations and performance reviews.
- Negotiate contracts terms and pricing agreements.
Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure adherence to company policies legal requirements and ethical standards.
- Manage procurement risks including supply continuity and market volatility.
Budget & Cost Control
- Monitor procurement budgets and deliver cost reduction targets.
- Analyze spend data and report on procurement performance.
Team Leadership
- Lead and develop the procurement team.
- Foster collaboration with internal stakeholders (Finance Operations Planning Quality etc).
Continuous Improvement
- Implement digital tools and automation for procurement processes.
- Drive sustainability initiatives and supplier diversity programs.
About you
Essential competencies:
- Previous experience in complex SMT manufacturing environment in managerial role
- Strategic thinking and commercial acumen
- Strong negotiation analytical and leadership skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management
- Ability to manage complex projects
- Proficiency in ERP systems and procurement software
Desirable competencies:
- Professional certifications (CIPS CPSM)
