The role

As a Senior Environmental Consultant youll deliver technical activities relating to nuclear waste management and strategy through the application of process domain knowledge and experience. This is a unique opportunity to influence projects that are critical to energy security and national protection while advancing your career in a dynamic and growing consultancy environment.

Day-to-day you will

Providing technical direction and resolving complex nuclear waste issues.
Compiling technical reports and delivering presentations to stakeholders.
Coaching and mentoring colleagues to develop capability within the team.
Building strong relationships with senior stakeholders and customers.
Driving business awareness and contributing to consultancy growth plans.

This is a permanent position working 37 hours per week based in Warrington Cheshire. Hybrid working patterns are available.

Essential experience of the Senior Environmental Consultant:

Extensive experience within the nuclear industry including:

Decommissioning planning and implementation.
Integrated waste management strategies and waste characterisation.
Environmental planning permitting and compliance.

Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills.
Proven leadership and people management experience.
Ability to produce and peer-review technical guidance and standards.
Consultancy experience with a track record of delivering strategic projects.

Qualifications for the Senior Environmental Consultant:

Degree in Engineering or Science.
Chartered or Incorporated Engineer or Scientist status.
Additional certifications in waste management or nuclear safety (advantageous).

Security Clearance
