About the Team
Youll be joining our Insert Team Name e.g. Audit Tax Corporate Finance Operations team a group of Insert size or structure e.g. 15 specialists part of a wider 50-person department.
The team works closely with Insert stakeholders e.g. clients partners and colleagues across service lines supporting them with Insert focus e.g. compliance advisory growth planning transformation.

Your Opportunity
The Corporate Tax Senior Manager role is a pivotal position within the organisation responsible for managing both compliance and non-compliance work. This role involves overseeing the flow of work within the team ensuring technical competency and managing client expectations. The Senior Manager is trusted to undertake final reviews of tax computations andis responsible forthe teams budget and recovery targets. Additionally the role requires effective communication of technical issues winning and billing foradditionalwork and providing feedback to partners on client relationships. The Senior Manager also plays a crucial role in team management development and recruitment as well asidentifyingnew business opportunities and managing client risks.

In this role you will:

Compliance work
Manage the flow of work and workload within the team
Planning client work with technical competency in mind; ensuring that colleagues are appropriately matched to clients and that colleagues are provided with the right level of experience to aid their progression
Trusted to undertake final reviews of tax computations before they go to Director/Partner level for final sign off
Responsible for the budgets of the team as a whole and ensuring recovery targets are met
Managing client expectations (both internal and external) and ensuring they are satisfied with the service they are receiving from the team
Quoting for new compliance only work
In depth knowledge of professional area and broad knowledge of others
Managing and effectively communicate client risks on technical projects
Projectwork
Responsible for the budgets of the team as a whole and ensuring recovery targets are met
Able to clearly communicate technical issues and solutions including highlighting risks in both email and report communications.
Able to accurately and concisely draft clearances and reports which are technicallyaccurate which can then be reviewed at Director/Partner level before going to clients
Feedback to Partneror Directoron any negative issues that may affect client relationships
Continuouslyanticipateand manage client expectations
Team management
Taking an active role in the overall development and progression of yourdirect reports
Support the development of thewiderteam through peer reviews contribution and quarterly reviews and other feedback loops
Monitor access and feedback on performance of junior team
Keep partners abreast of progress on client matters
Ability to clearly explain complex technical issues with junior team and clients

Lead the building of the department through spotting recruitment needs obtaining approval and going through the People processes including recruitment.
