What we are hiring for:
We are currently hiring a Regular Part-time Maintenance Worker for our locations across Lambton County Ontario. The successful candidate will support LCDS by:
- Making adjustments and minor repairs to heating cooling ventilating plumbing and electrical systems and contacting tradespersons for major repairs
- Performing other routine maintenance jobs such as painting drywall repair vehicle detailing
- Responding to requests for repairs and prioritizing the work
- Maintaining inventory of supplies and equipment and making minor purchases as required
- Performing inspections on the building and equipment as required
- Noting any security and safety measures that may need to be in place to supervisor
- Moving furniture equipment and supplies
- Performing grounds maintenance if required
- Ensuring equipment and tools are stored safely and securely
- Ensuring that facilities and work areas are maintained in a clean orderly and safe manner
Experience/Skills:
- Previous maintenance experience
- Knowledge of basic equipment and tools related to maintenance
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks
- High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and related experience
- Criminal Record Check including Vulnerable Sector Check
- Current valid G or G2 Ontario Drivers License preferred
Compensation and scheduling:
- $25.00 per hour
- Regular Part-time 24 hours per week including days evenings and/or weekends with some flexibility
