Job Description
A CNC Operator Instructor is an experienced machining professional who trains students to safely set up operate and troubleshoot Computer Numerical Control ( CNC ) machines used in manufacturing. They teach both theoretical knowledge and hands-on skills preparing learners for careers as CNC operators machinists and precision manufacturing technicians. The instructor guides students in understanding machine controls tooling G-code blueprint reading measurement techniques and industrial safety standards. Summary of Duties Teach CNC machining fundamentals including machine setup operation tooling and programming basics. Provide hands-on lab instruction on CNC mills lathes and related equipment. Develop update and deliver curriculum that reflects current manufacturing technologies and practices. Train students in reading blueprints interpreting tolerances and using precision measuring tools. Demonstrate safe machine practices and enforce safety protocols at all times. Evaluate student performance through tests practical skill assessments and machining projects. Maintain CNC lab equipment ensuring machines are functional safe and properly calibrated. Offer mentoring and guidance to support student success and career readiness. Collaborate with industry partners to align training with current workforce needs. Only applicants who reside in Iowa Nebraska or South Dakota will be considered
Required Qualifications
Associates degree in manufacturing related field or Minimum of 3 years of industry experience or
