We are seeking a high-performing Instructional Systems Designer (ISD) to support a client program. Our ISDs are highly motivated individuals whose primary responsibilities are to analyze design develop and maintain instructional content for web-based and/or instructor-led courses and related training products; and nurture build and sustain strategic client partnerships. The ideal candidate is passionate about instructional design and developing our solutions and has a solid understanding of instructional design principles.
The position is REMOTE. However travel may be required to attend a pilot or curriculum review.
Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will support the clients Training Division to meet the continuously changing environment which drives the need to develop and update training content. The ISD shall provide technical expertise to apply the ADDIE model. New development and maintenance may consist of eLearning asynchronous courses virtual instructor-led courses short-format eLearning instructor-led training and Kirkpatrick Level I II and III evaluation creation and monitoring.
- Use the ADDIE model throughout the instructional design process.
- For ILT courses conduct ongoing curriculum maintenance revision and course evaluation in accordance with government-issued style guides and requirements.
- For asynchronous elearning courses conduct course validation study/analysis design development testing and compliance on LMS evaluation and course revisions in accordance with Government-issued style guides and requirements.
- Assist and provide guidance on the application of the ADDIE methodology in accordance with government-issued style guides and requirements.
- Collaborate with the Government to conduct a comprehensive Training Needs Analysis (TNA) that identifies competencies training requirements goals learning objectives topics instructional strategies media selection and training recommendations for a specified audiencein support of accreditation requirements.
- Support new development due to immediate requirements through front-end analysis training design plans storyboards assessments and course pilots.
- Develop detailed course design documents that include the course content outline media treatments technical specifications assessment strategy instructional materials and recommended design approach for the course.
- Manage own course development projects including schedule communication plan and risk register for example.
- Develop monitor and maintain Kirkpatrick Level I II and III evaluations for courses in your prevue.
- Other support may also include the creation of templates job aids process documentation or supporting tuition assistance program mandatory training support or the evaluations team and reporting progress to leadership monthly or as needed.
Minimum Requirements
- 5 years of experience with instructional design and development.
- Bachelorsdegree from an accredited college or university with emphasis on instructional design educational technology or related academic discipline or 10 years experience in lieu of degree.
- Instructional Systems Designers shall ensure eLearning and Instructor-led instructional materials meet 508 compliance standards and all other Government education and training requirements.
- Demonstrated experience managing own projects and timelines.
- Ability to work with limited direction in a project environment that will often need definition to proactively accomplish the mission requirements.
- Experience in Microsoft Outlook Word PowerPoint SharePoint Excel and Teams.
- Proficient in Articulate Storyline and Rise.
- Experience working with federal government clients.
- U.S. Citizen with the ability to pass a government background check.
