Brief Job Description:

The primary function will be to support data analysis and exploration for development of forecasting and machine learning models. This will involve basic to advanced analytics data and model pipeline development and validation and development of CI/CD practices. This will be done in an agile environment.

Areas of Responsibilities:

KRA 1: Functional Expertise

1. Support projects on dataset development and analysis for forecasting and modeling and support existing projects.
2. Modeling and evaluation: Help develop improve and maintain new and existing forecasting models and processes as well as ML models and their evaluation.
3. Data Analysis: Provides support by investigating reviewing and analyzing data from multiple sources and understands the source structures and business relevance of the data with assigned business areas.
4. Develop a detailed understanding of the data structure and data flows within Vertiv the opportunities to use the data and the limitations of what it can do.
5. Build in-depth understanding of the key Vertiv resources and decision makers of various business functions and disciplines.
6. Maintain functional understanding of Vertivs technologies solutions and capabilities.

KRA 2: Customer Commitment

1. Identifies customer needs through communication and probing.
2. Creates solutions to customer problems. Provide sound recommendations to their queries. Provides resolution the first time.
3. Assists customers in handling servicing follow-up communication and closure of issues.
4. Completes workload on time. Monitors if transactions are processed in a timely manner.
5. Implements error-proofing method to ensure all transactions are done accurately.
6. Participates in conferences calls meetings and discussions with customers.
7. Coordinates with other teams/support to complete the request of customers.
8. Monitors team service level and assists in workload distribution
9. Conducts team/functional/business overview presentations during counterpart visits as required by team lead/supervisor.
10. Assists colleagues in answering general inquiries from customers

KRA 3: Internal Communication

1. Plans executes and manages own workload and projects in cooperation with line leaders.
2. Assists in leading team meetings huddles and information cascades. Communicates with the team on best practices lessons learned process and product updates during team huddles/meetings
3. Gathers data analyses trend generates and submits reports to line leaders with recommendations.
4. Uses effective communication tools like flow charts process flows diagrams etc. to effectively communicate products and processes convey information and respond to queries/requests coming from different levels.
5. Perform special projects and reports for the internal and external customers

KRA 4: Continuous Improvement

1. Identifies problems areas and sources offers possible solutions and escalates to line leaders/seniors when necessary.
2. Completes personal individual development plan and implements agreed training/development activities.
3. Assists the team lead in identifying team opportunities and challenges. Provide sound recommendations to line leaders and/or stakeholders by translating enhancing and consolidating information into forms that can be used for decision making of the top management.
4. Performs quality checks and provides quality feedback/recommendations to peers.

KRA 5: Team Support and Development

1. Actively participates in team activities and initiatives as a contributor/lead.
2. Fulfil other reasonable duties and projects as required.
3. Serves as back-up for next level similar or related function for business continuity.
4. Provides work direction and guidance to junior employees when needed.
5. Conducts product/process/functional trainings.
6. Manages/handles at least 1 company/platform/business unit project/initiative.
7. Coordinates and networks with other members of the team to complete assigned projects and programs.
8. Participates in cross-business unit committees as a contributor/lead.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in computer science Data Science or related majors.
• 3 Years Experience in Python and SQL.
• Familiarity with time series forecasting and ML techniques/best practices ideally 2 years of experience.
• Familiarity with code versioning such as Git.
• Strong understanding of data models and data manipulation techniques
• Good to have knowledge of served markets and competitor landscape.
• Ability to solve complex problems using data-driven approaches.
• Understanding of OOL and standard coding best practices.
• Ability to learn new methods or technical competencies.
• Capable of breaking down complex tasks and problems into smaller tasks.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Strong analytical and reasoning skills that result in clear technical execution.
• Skilled at translating requirements into clean efficient and quality code.
• Willingness to learn adapt and stay updated on industry trends.
