About the Role

Based at Centennial Parklands youll play a key role in maintaining and preparing some of Sydneys most iconic cricket wickets and sporting surfaces.

Working within a dedicated team of turf professionals youll oversee the preparation maintenance and renovation of cricket pitches and surrounding turf to meet the highest standards of playability and presentation.

Youll:

• Prepare and maintain turf wickets and practice facilities to competition and event standards.
• Conduct pitch preparation rolling watering mowing scarifying and topdressing schedules.
• Manage soil profiles moisture levels and turf health for consistent performance.
• Operate and maintain turf and wicket-specific machinery.
• Assist with outfield maintenance irrigation management and seasonal renovation.
• Work collaboratively to plan schedules around weather fixtures and turf cycles.
• Support sustainability and continuous improvement initiatives.

What Youll Bring

• Certificate III (or higher) in Sports Turf Management or equivalent qualification.
• Demonstrated experience in cricket wicket preparation and turf curation.
• Strong understanding of turf agronomy irrigation soil management and seasonal cycles.
• A proactive safety-focused approach with excellent attention to detail.
• Current drivers licence (MR licence desirable).
• White Card (desirable).
• Genuine pride in producing premium playing surfaces.
