We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled CMM Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality control and inspection with proficiency in operating Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) and a solid understanding of engineering principles. This role is crucial for ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and precision. The key skills for this position are CMM opeartion inspection equipment such as a comparator caliper micrometer and blueprint reading.
Responsibilities
- Operate and program Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to perform dimensional inspections on manufactured parts.
- Conduct quality inspections in accordance with AS9100 ISO 13485 ISO 9001 and ASME codes & standards.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers micrometers bore gauges and GD&T techniques to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints schematics and CAD models to determine inspection requirements.
- Document inspection results accurately and maintain detailed records for quality assurance purposes.
- Collaborate with manufacturing and machining teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Assist in the development of quality control processes and procedures to enhance product reliability.
Qualifications
- Proficient in using CMM software such as Calypso or PC-DMIS.
- Strong knowledge of quality control methodologies and standards including AS9100 ISO 13485 ISO 9001 and GD&T.
- Experience in dimensional inspection within a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with SolidWorks or similar CAD software is preferred.
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand tooling and machining processes.
- Strong mathematical skills for precise measurement calculations.
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
