Underwriting Operations Specialist
Job Summary
Seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Underwriting Operations Specialist to join a team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in facilitating training developing resources and driving continuous improvement within the underwriting department.
Compensation Package
- Salary Range: $70000 - $90000 annually
- Comprehensive benefits package including:

Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the training manager to facilitate new-hire onboarding and ongoing department training sessions covering topics such as underwriting systems workers compensation property liability and commercial auto coverage.
- Develop and maintain online underwriting resources policies manuals training materials and procedures to ensure consistent application across the department.
- Provide support to other departments by sharing underwriting knowledge and expertise to help achieve organizational goals.
- Drive continuous improvement by recommending and implementing changes to workflows processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Identify problems research solutions and collaborate on the design and implementation of effective resolutions.
- Develop and maintain tools and resources to support underwriting operations.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelors degree in a related field.
- Minimum of two years of experience in a related field.
- Preferred insurance industry certifications such as CPCU ARM or Associate in Premium Audit.
- Strong knowledge of NCCI PAAS and underwriting business processes.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and deliver results.
- Excellent interpersonal project management and leadership skills.
- Strong decision-making critical-thinking and communication abilities.
