About Position / Position Summary
- We are looking for a certified SAP HANA Database Administrator with SAP Basis expertise to manage and support our enterprise SAP landscapes. The successful candidate will possess handson experience with HANA database administration including upgrades backup and restore and strong troubleshooting and documentation skills along with the ability to collaborate effectively with functional and infrastructure teams.
This role will be based out of Bengaluru India.
Position Responsibilities:
- Administer manage and maintain SAP HANA databases.
- Perform database tuning and performance monitoring.
- Handle backup and recovery operations and support disaster recovery planning and testing.
- Perform system refreshes client copies and housekeeping activities across SAP environments.
- Perform HANA database upgrades and Stay updated with the latest SAP HANA features and evaluate applicability for the landscape.
- Configure and monitor HANA Database critical alerts.
- Provide support and guidance to the SAP team and participate in DR drills.
- Handle user maintenance roles and authorizations; ensure compliance with IT security standards.
- Perform troubleshooting and diagnostics activities; handle SAP security Notes / SAP OSS handling.
- Ensure compliance with SAP and industry standards; perform patching and kernel upgrades.
- Coordinate with functional and infrastructure teams for landscape planning cutovers and issue resolution.
- Document procedures maintain system architecture diagrams and participate in audits.
- Certificate and license management.
- Stay updated with the latest SAP HANA features and evaluate applicability for the landscape.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- A bachelors degree or higher is required as a BASIC QUALIFICATION
- Strong hands-on experience with SAP HANA administration Along with Basis knowledge.
- Expertise in SAP HANA database installation System Copy/Refresh and SAP Notes/SAP OSS handling.
- Working knowledge of SAP Cloud ALM BW on HANA and SAP Router/Web Dispatcher setup.
- Proficiency in SAP performance tuning HANA SLT and housekeeping.
- Detail-oriented with strong documentation discipline.
- Ability to work under on-call/rotational support schedules when required.
- Exposure to Azure cloud infrastructure SAP deployment on Azure (VMs HA/DR setup).
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience) :
- SAP Certified Technology Associate
- Microsoft Azure certification or equivalent practical experience
- Knowledge of automation tools
- Familiarity with SAP BTP and SAP Landscape Management (LaMa)
Typical Education & Experience:
- Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 4 Plus years related work experience or masters degree with 3 years of experience with an equivalent combination of education and experience.
