Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Program development and compliance
Build and maintain site EHS programs aligned with Coherent standards and legal requirements
Review procedures records and practices for compliance and effectiveness
Training
Develop training plans and materials for all EHS programs
Coordinate and deliver instructor-led and on-the-job training
Inspections and audits
Conduct routine inspections and assessments; document findings and corrective actions
Coordinate and host audits by internal teams and external authorities
Regulatory interface
Interact with OSHA EPA TCEQ DSHS and municipal authorities
Prepare and maintain audit and inspection documentation; support responses and follow-up
Metrics and improvement
Define leading and lagging EHS metrics
Track goals analyze trends and recommend improvements
Other duties
Perform hazard analyses including JHA THA and PSM related evaluations
Support proper handling storage and shipment of waste
Participate in community company and quality system activities as assigned
Education & Experience
Bachelors degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experience

Physical Requirements
Sit for up to 8 hours at a time
Lift and pull up to 50 pounds as needed
Wear required PPE such as safety glasses and masks
Respond to emergencies on a 24/7 basis as needed
Safety Requirements
All employees are required to follow the site EHS procedures and Coherent Corp. Corporate EHS standards.

Depending on location this position may be responsible for the execution and maintenance of the ISO 9000 and/or other applicable standards that may apply to the relevant roles and responsibilities within the Quality Management System and Environmental Management System.
