WA Platform is a fully scalable and customizable solution featuring over 75 game providers 15.000 games and multi-currency support with 80 payment methods. WA Technology enables operators to build their own Casino Sportsbook Lottery and Fantasy business precisely how they envision it. We have offices across Europe and Latin America supporting our clients with on-the-ground presence and regional expertise.

Where and how we work

We currently have teams based in Malta Lisbon (PT) Sofia (BG) London (UK) and Bucharest (RO). Our hybrid work model encourages regular in-person collaboration while also allowing flexibility to work remotely.

Long story short you will

We are looking for an experienced Frontend Engineering Team Lead with strong hands-on technical expertise and solid experience delivering high-quality Casino & Sports betting this role you will lead a Team of Frontend and QA Engineers; collaborate closely with Design QA and Product to build new player-facing frontends for one of our most important operator clients.

All the responsibilities we will trust you with:

Technical Leadership & Engineering Excellence

• Lead mentor and support a cross-functional team of Software Engineers QA Engineers and a Designer.

• Make technical decisions related to architecture code quality and best practices.

• Ensure high performance scalability and responsiveness of the frontend applications.

• Review code guide refactoring and enforce engineering standards.

Product & Delivery Ownership

• Own the end-to-end delivery of frontend features components and enhancements.

• Work closely with Product to refine requirements define scope and translate needs into actionable technical plans.

• Collaborate with Design to ensure a consistent user-centric implementation.

• Manage delivery timelines prioritisation estimations and workload planning for the team.

• Identify technical risks dependencies and blockers early and drive timely resolution.

• Ensure releases meet functional expectations quality standards and client/business goals.

Cross-Team Coordination and Communication

• Facilitate smooth communication with Product Design Backend and Client/Stakeholder teams and act as the technical voice in cross-functional discussions.

• Communicate progress challenges and solutions to Product and Leadership.

• Maintain documentation of processes standards and release-related details.

• Foster a collaborative transparent and high-performing engineering culture

Your areas of knowledge and expertise:

• Around 5 years of experience as a Frontend Developer(JavaScript/TypeScript).

• Experience working with modern frameworks such as ReactJS and SvelteJS

• Previous experience as Team Lead or Senior Developer with people management responsibilities.

• Experience building high-traffic B2C websites (ideally Casino & Sports).

• Strong understanding of modern FE architecture technologies performance optimization

• Strong experience working with API integrations.

• Hands-on knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.

• Ability to work independently make decisions and lead a team with confidence.

• Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration skills.

• Client focused mindset and the ability to understand client needs
