We are currently seeking a highly organised professional and proactive HR Officer to join a prestigious Independent School in Westminster. About the Role
As the HR Officer you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of the schools HR function. Working closely with the HR Manager and senior leadership team your responsibilities will include:
Managing day-to-day HR administration and processes
Supporting recruitment across teaching and support staff positions including advertising shortlisting and interview coordination
Overseeing onboarding and compliance including DBS checks references and Right-to-Work documentation
Maintaining the Single Central Record (SCR) and ensuring safeguarding compliance
Managing staff contracts variations and HR-related documentation
Supporting absence management return-to-work meetings and HR queries
Maintaining accurate HR records and supporting digital systems
Supporting staff induction CPD tracking and appraisal processes
Contributing to wider HR projects and policy updates

The role requires a professional discreet and confident individual with strong attention to detail and excellent interpersonal skills.

Experience and Qualifications
Previous experience working in HR ideally within an education or independent school setting
Strong understanding of HR processes safer recruitment and compliance
Excellent administrative IT and organisational skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information
CIPD Level 3 (or willingness to complete) is desirable
Strong communication skills and a proactive team-focused approach

Salary
