Job Summary
An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a passionate Teacher of Science to join a high-performing secondary school in Peterborough from January 2026. The school is seeking a committed and enthusiastic practitioner who can deliver engaging and inspiring Science lessons across KS3 and KS4 with the capacity to contribute to KS5 depending on experience and departmental needs. The Role
Deliver high-quality Science lessons across KS3 and KS4
Contribute to curriculum planning assessment design and enrichment activities
Work closely with colleagues to ensure cohesive delivery and consistent standards
Support pupils of all abilities maintaining strong behaviour management anchored in school policy
Engage with CPD coaching and quality assurance to continually refine practice
Potential to teach KS5 Biology Chemistry or Physics depending on specialism
Experience & Qualifications
Degree in a Science-related subject
QTS or PGCE with QTS
Ability to teach General Science to KS4; KS5 specialism desirable
Strong behaviour management and a commitment to inclusive teaching
Salary
Paid to scale MPS1UPS3 dependent on experience.
