Job Description: Learning Support Mentor - Construction
Position:
Learning Support Mentor - Construction (Term Time Only)
Salary:
Annual Salary: Competitively set in Pounds ( - Britain)
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored support to students in construction-related courses enhancing their learning experience.
- Assist in the development of individualized learning plans to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Organize and conduct classroom activities that foster engagement and practical skill development.
- Monitor and assess student progress offering constructive feedback to help them improve.
- Create a positive respectful and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation.
- Collaborate with teaching staff to integrate support strategies into the curriculum.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to students helping them set and achieve academic and personal goals.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and attend meetings with educational staff and parents as needed.
- Participate in professional development and training sessions to stay current with best practices in education and mentorship.
Essential Qualifications:
- Relevant qualification in construction or a related field.
- Experience in a learning support role or similar educational environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to relate to learners.
- Organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Basic knowledge of the construction industry and a passion for working with students.
Desired Experience:
- Prior experience working in a mentorship or support role within an educational setting.
- Understanding of learning difficulties and strategies to support diverse learning needs.
- Experience in facilitating or teaching construction skills or topics in a classroom or workshop environment.
