Skills: Mechanical Engineer HVAC (Compressors Fans coils etc)
Job Description & Skill Requirement:
Create engineering documentation including SolidWorks modeling fabrication and purchase drawings that conform to Daikin standards
Apply tolerances and use GD&T tools to ensure designs meet functional and manufacturing requirements
Drive the execution of the new product development phase-gate process demonstrating appropriate design maturity and growth across various milestones
Work cross-functionally with groups such as design test manufacturing sales and supply chain to ensure product design meets business needs
Translate engineering/marketing intent into manufacturing documentation
Exhibit a sense of design and mechanical aptitude with abstract thinking and reasoning skills
Demonstrate creative ability accuracy and cost-effectiveness
Complete work assignments within a determined time frame and use judgment in deciding assignment goals
Gain knowledge of design and manufacturing practices processes and Daikin products
Be part of and function in a team environment including cross-functional and inter-departmental teams
Manage mid-level design projects
Review junior designers work and train other designers to perform their work
Contribute expertise to key HVAC subsystems including Compressors Fans motors and variable speed technologies Coils etc.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field
Minimum 10 years in product development with a proven track record of leading complex engineering projects
Demonstrated ability to architect new products and contribute to new technology development projects.
HVAC industry experience
Experience with component design and HVAC products
A proactive innovative spirit and a relentless drive to develop world-class HVAC solutions.
Experience with machinery component design and/or HVAC products
SolidWorks experience
Ability to create moderately complex parts and assemblies interpreting technical specifications and applying GD&T
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to clearly articulate issues and solutions
