CT Tech Traveler (Nights)
Position Summary The CT Technologist performs high-quality CT imaging examinations in accordance with established protocols and safety standards. The technologist is responsible for patient positioning equipment operation image processing and timely transmission of studies to PACS. This role supports night-shift coverage and provides on-call support for call-ins as needed. The technologist works collaboratively with radiologists nursing staff and interdisciplinary team members to ensure accurate imaging and safe patient care.
Key Responsibilities -
Perform CT examinations according to physician orders and imaging protocols.

Position patients safely and appropriately to obtain diagnostic-quality images.

Operate CT scanners and related imaging equipment effectively and safely.
-
Process and transmit images to PACS with accurate labeling and documentation.
-
Monitor patient condition during imaging and communicate changes promptly.
-
Verify exam orders patient identification and safety screening prior to imaging.
-
Maintain cleanliness and readiness of imaging rooms and equipment.
-
Support radiologists and clinical teams by providing timely imaging results.
-
Participate in on-call rotation to cover night-shift call-ins as needed.
-
Follow radiation safety infection control and organizational standards.
Qualifications -
Current and valid Illinois accreditation/licensure for radiologic technologists.

Current ARRT(R) certification and ARRT(CT) certification.

Current BLS (AHA) certification.
-
Minimum 2 years of recent CT experience in an acute care setting preferred.

Proficient with PACS CT imaging software and computerized workflows.
