The company

Client is a High Tech automation solutions provider based Chandler AZ with offices in San Francisco Salt Lake City Denver and Albuquerque. We have over 25 years of experience in implementing the latest in robotic automation technologies. We work every day with some of the largest manufacturers in the Southwestern United States to help them automate their processes.

We provide equipment from many of the automation and robotics industry leaders so we can help our customers stay on the cutting edge of technology

The Position

We are looking for a Sales Engineer to lead our sales efforts in the Phoenix metro area. This role requires a high level of self-motivation technical aptitude and strong communication skills. This individual would be responsible for consulting with customers and helping them choose which robots and other automation equipment to use and how to best implement those solutions. You will also provide technical training and support demo product and put together proposals and quotes.

Location

Client Arizona office is in Chandler. The representative would be responsible for working with customers in the Phoenix/Tempe area up to Flagstaff.

What youll do:

  • Call sales leads
  • Set up appointments with customers helping them choose which robots and other automation equipment to use and how to best implement those solutions.
  • Provide technical training and support demo product and put together proposals and quotes.
  • Put together quotes for customers i.e. specify complete motion/robot/vision systems.
  • System Sizing & Motor Sizing
  • Support Customer Service
  • Make 10 customer visits per week (will not normally require an overnight stay)
  • The SE will be expected to excel in both verbal and written communications.
  • The SE will be expected to generate new business opportunities.
  • Guide the engineering team in the development of integrated systems (be the Voice of the Customer)
  • Work with suppliers to specify devices and products to OEM accounts
  • Use creativity and intuition to solve automation problems

Our ideal candidate:

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelors degree with Technical emphasis.
  • Engineering or Manufacturing experience.
  • 2 years of Applications Engineering or B2B Sales experience.
  • Familiar with Servo Systems Machine Vision and Industrial Robotics

Skills & Abilities:

  • Comfortable in leading and adapting to change
  • Demonstrable experience of breaking down and resolving challenging technical problems
  • Excellent computer literacy including data analysis project planning and presentations

Job Type: Full-time
