Job Summary
Position Title: DC Technician III
Location: Abilene Texas (On-site)
Duration : Contract
Schedule: 24/7/365 environment rotating shifts (8 12 hours) including nights weekends and holidays.
Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Data Center Technician to support the installation maintenance and troubleshooting of network and server hardware in a mission-critical environment. The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience with physical infrastructure structured cabling and data center operations.
Responsibilities:
- Physically install network racks and mount servers according to schematics and plans.
- Connect and neatly route Ethernet and power cables per design standards.
- Install remove and troubleshoot network hardware in data center racks without disturbing critical systems.
- Maintain accurate asset inventory and update internal systems as required.
- Support data center infrastructure projects and ensure adherence to operational best practices.
- Perform structured cabling (copper and fiber) installation and testing.
Qualifications:
- 6 years of experience in data center operations or related technical roles.
- 5 years of experience with structured cabling (copper/fiber) and cable testing.
- Solid understanding of data center networking concepts and hardware.
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights weekends and holidays.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean organized data center environment.
