POSITION SUMMARY
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine building inspections and maintenance on a wide range of equipment to ensure maximum functionality. They diagnose and repair structural mechanical and electrical system malfunctions at a manufacturing facility.

Essential Functions Statement(s)
- Conduct routine preventative maintenance inspections on production equipment.
- Run diagnostic tests to discover functionality issues and inform leadership of the best possible solutions for repairs.
- Perform thorough maintenance on production equipment aiming for maximum reliability. Activities include repairing chains conveyors wood grinder and sprockets by grinding welding and cutting as required.
- Assemble and replace equipment components.
- All activities related to trailer repair at a routine working height of 53 inches. This includes repairing trailer floors doors hinges side walls and roofs using saws grinders and welders. Occasional roof repairs involve climbing a ladder up to 12 feet.
- Perform tire repair and exchanges using impact guns and other appropriate tools.
- Perform maintenance on powered industrial equipment (forklifts) and verify successful repairs by operating the equipment.
- Thoroughly clean equipment and maintenance area using pressurized air and blowers removing components and reinstalling as needed.
- Ensure all documentation is properly completed and stored according to PLA standards.
- Champion a safe working environment adhering to all PLA state and federal regulations.
- Inform leadership when a leased truck requires repair as needed partnering with the leasing company to complete the repair.
- Escalate matters to leadership as needed.
- Support facility efforts in maintaining a secure area for spare equipment parts and tools.
- Communicate with facility leadership on needed equipment to perform repairs.
- Partner with leadership to provide suggestions on best practices.
- Foster exceptional and collaborative partnerships with facility staff maintaining clear and open communications at all times.
- Adjust as needed to new reporting relationships work assignments and work schedules to meet the company needs and business requirements.

Education: Associates Degree (2-year college or technical school): Preferred
Experience: 4 years experience
Certifications& Licenses: Welding and Electrical Certifications or License; Valid Drivers License; Forklift Certification
