What Were Looking For

The Compensation Analyst will support the mission of the University and the Human Resources department through the development implementation and administration of compensation programs that attract retain and motivate employees. This role analyzes internal and external data to ensure equitable and competitive pay practices and provides recommendations that align with organizational goals and compliance standards. The Compensation Analyst also collaborates with Human Resources and leadership teams to evaluate job roles and support compensation related decision making.

A bachelors degree and one years of work experience are required. Three years of relevant experience is preferred.

Applicants must currently be authorized to work in the United States on a Full-Time basis.

What You Will Do

  • Facilitate the annual merit process for faculty and staff including any necessary template updates system testing communication planning and status tracking
  • Manage the development and delivery of annual Total Compensation Statements for employees including design communication and rollout
  • Support faculty and staff pay equity studies by preparing and providing relevant compensation data
  • Support additional compensation-related initiatives and projects as needed
  • Serve as a key contact for ITS partners who support compensation systems ensuring smooth technical operations and enhancements
  • Partner with HR colleagues to assess FLSA exemption determinations and advise on moderately complex compensation inquiries
  • Compile analyze and maintain compensation data within third-party compensation software (e.g. MarketPay)
  • Gather prepare and submit salary data for participation in annual market compensation surveys
  • Respond to ad hoc compensation data requests and generate relevant reports for stakeholders
  • Audit compensation data within HRIS to ensure accuracy and compliance with internal policies and external regulations
  • Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylors mission
  • Ability to comply with University policies
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance
