This role reports into SCD an Ellsworth Corporation company located in Germantown WI. This is an on-site position.

You will direct personnel and daily operational activities within the Distribution Center and support and advance the larger strategic goals of the DC by ensuring the efficient processing of workflow and achieving key process and operational cost improvements in accordance with established company policies and procedures. You will also foster a safe team environment.

Responsibilities

• Drives compliance with safety quality and productivity goals in support of warehouse leadership team objectives
• Serves as the Distribution Operations Subject Matter Expert rotating flexing and training employees on each aspect of the warehouse / distribution processes (Freight Returns Receiving Restock and Transfers)
• Defines and applies cross training needs in all warehouse team functions to support customer demand and satisfaction
• Keenly understands Distribution Center operational goals identifies gaps and recommends continuous process improvement solutions. Actively assists with Continuous Improvement implementation
• Participates in the full-range of people-management responsibilities including performance reviews compensation recommendations coaching and development hiring recommendations and disciplinary actions

Qualifications

• 3 years of supervisory experience in distribution operations

• High School Diploma or equivalency required Bachelors Degree preferred

• Promotes teamwork and works effectively within diversified teams
• Takes active ownership of Distribution Center daily operations and displays enthusiasm for leadership activities
• Experience with process improvement and driving change.
• Ability to analyze data and make well-supported recommendations
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
• Knowledge of functional operations (order flow 5S receiving warehouse replenishment and expense management) and ability to apply structured problem-solving methodology (I.E: 5 Why Paretos PDCA) to identified gaps.
• Experience communicating and presenting issues to senior management.
• Ability to partner with others within the Ellsworth distribution networks to align continuous improvement plans.
• Occasional (Less than 5%)
