Job Summary
The Mt. Abraham Union Middle/High School is seeking an exceptional educator to teach and support high school students (grades 912) with IEPs as they develop job skills career readiness and independent living competencies through community-based learning. This position plays a key role in coordinating job placements collaborating with school teams and families and ensuring students are well-prepared for successful transitions to employment further education and adult Responsibilities Provide instruction in employability communication and independent living skills. Coordinate and supervise community-based job training experiences and internships. Collaborate closely with teachers counselors families and community partners to support student success. Develop implement and monitor individualized transition goals and track student progress. Partner with adult service agencies (e.g. HireAbility) to support postsecondary planning and long-term transition Join MAUSD Support meaningful hands-on learning for students within their communities. Collaborate with caring innovative educators families and community partners. Make a lasting impact by helping students build independence and skills for lifelong is commensurate with experience and aligned with the Mount Abraham Education Association Collective Bargaining Agreement.
