Key Responsibilities
Patient Care & Nursing Process
- Deliver evidence-based nursing care to promote positive patient outcomes and reduce hospital readmissions.
- Follow infection control protocols and standard precautions when handling patients and materials.
- Conduct comprehensive health assessments collecting information from patients families and healthcare providers.
- Identify patient care needs and develop individualized nursing care plans in collaboration with patients and their families.
- Implement nursing interventions that align with established patient care standards and coordinate with other healthcare disciplines.
- Continuously evaluate patient progress and adjust care plans accordingly.
Clinical Leadership & Team Coordination
- Work collaboratively with physicians therapists and other nursing staff to ensure continuity of care.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to other nursing personnel as needed.
- Maintain documentation and adhere to hospital and unit-specific policies and procedures.
Qualifications
Education & Certification
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or completion of a Nursing Diploma program Bachelors in Nursing (BSN) preferred .
- Licensure: Active RN license in Arizona or a Compact State RN license.
- Certification: Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
Unit-Specific Requirement
- Medical-Surgical Unit: Basic EKG competency must be obtained within 3 months of hire.
- De-escalation Techniques course within 6 months of hire and every 2 years thereafter
