Immersion Program Coordinator

AbilityPath is looking for an Immersion Program Coordinator to join our team serving the San Mateo Peninsula!
This role plays a key part in our new Work Readiness Immersion Programsupporting adults with disabilities as they build employment skills workplace behaviors and confidence through classroom-based instruction and person-centered planning.

Compensation: $27-$29/hr

ABOUT THE ROLE: Immersion Program Coordinator

The Immersion Program Coordinator is responsible for the daily operations curriculum development classroom instruction and case management of AbilityPaths Work Readiness Immersion Program. This program prepares adults with disabilities for successful employment by teaching workplace skills soft skills and independent living fundamentals.

Responsibilities include:

  • Design and deliver a work-readiness curriculum aligned with program goals

  • Facilitate engaging person-centered classroom instruction

  • Manage day-to-day program operations and support program growth

  • Oversee case management including assessments goal setting progress tracking and monthly reporting

  • Supervise train and support Immersion Instructor(s) as the program expands

  • Maintain accurate documentation attendance authorizations and compliance tasks

  • Act as the primary liaison with the Department of Rehabilitation and other partners

  • Communicate effectively with caregivers families counselors and community stakeholders

  • Support participants in the community when needed (job fairs job coaching/job development)

  • Provide high-quality customer service and uphold all participant rights and regulatory standards

  • Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE

Helpful experience includes:

  • Bachelors degree in Human Services Education Rehabilitation or related field

  • Experience teaching adults in a classroom or group setting

  • Experience working with individuals with developmental or intellectual disabilities

  • Background in employment services vocational training or job development

  • Experience writing reports case notes or utilizing case management systems

HIRING REQUIREMENTS

  • Valid California Drivers License/ID (3 years preferred)

  • Clean driving record (if applicable)

  • Negative TB test results

  • Occupational physical clearance

  • Ability to pass a criminal fingerprint background clearance

  • 21 years of age for driving positions; 18 for all other candidates

PHYSICAL ACTIVITY

  • Ability to respond physically to adults with developmental disabilities

  • Ability to lift/support at least 40 lbs as needed

  • Ability to sit stand stoop bend and walk for extended periods

  • Ability to support participants during community outings

  • Ability to sit and keyboard for documentation needs
