We are now looking for a Senior Finance Controller to help us further expand our world-class data engineering team.
As we continue to scale our operations customer portfolio and international footprint we are expanding not only our business but also our finance organizationand the Finance Controller role is a key part of this growth. We are looking for a highly hands-on Senior Finance Controller to strengthen our day-to-day financial operations and support our CFO in building a transparent reliable and scalable financial infrastructure.
We operate with a small focused finance team (CFO Controller Finance Administrator) which means you will take ownership of core processes while also handling smaller ad-hoc tasks when needed. Youll work closely with external accountants and the auditor ensuring smooth monthly closings accurate annual reporting and strong financial compliance.
Your scope will cover everything from contract reviews and cash-flow tracking to consolidated reporting and international entity coordination. This is an operational detail-oriented execution-heavy roleideal for someone who wants to have visible impact in a growing organization.
What will you do
Operational Finance & Controlling
You own the daily and monthly financial processes that keep our business running.
- preparing monthly quarterly and annual financial reports
- supporting budgeting and forecasting cycles
- cash-flow monitoring variance analysis and scenario modelling
- project-level profitability tracking and cost control
- ensuring documentation quality and data reliability across finance
- collaborating with external accountants during monthly and annual closings
- coordinating with auditors during year-end
- supporting smaller ad-hoc tasks that come with being part of a lean scaling team.
Key initiatives: improving reporting speed and accuracy building consistent financial controls and supporting the CFO with actionable financial insights.
Contract & Compliance Operations
A key part of your role supports day-to-day compliance and operational finance.
- review contracts from a financial and commercial perspective
- verify pricing scope terms and adherence to internal policies
- maintain contract registers and related documentation
- coordinate with legal/accounting where needed
- prepare bank transfers and payment instructions for CFO approval.
Key initiatives: building standardized contract-review processes and improving contract-to-cash visibility.
International Expansion & Consolidated Reporting
As the company grows internationally you will play a central role in establishing our multi-entity financial operations.
- setting up stable monthly reporting flows with foreign accountants
- coordinating statutory and compliance requirements for new entities
- preparing group-level consolidated reporting packages and KPI dashboards
- aligning local reporting structures with unified group standards
- ensuring consistency and comparability across all entities.
Key initiatives: establishing group finance processes and supporting the CFO in international financial infrastructure design.
What does it take to fit the bill
Operational & technical skills
- Hands-on controlling experience in a dynamic or scaling environment
- Strong reporting modelling and analytical capabilities
- High accuracy and operational discipline
- Solid Excel/Sheets skills; BI/ERP experience is an advantage
- Ability to read and assess commercial contract terms
- Comfortable coordinating with accountants auditors and external service providers
- Fluent English
- A process-driven mindset with a desire to create structure and consistency

How will we measure success in this role
Making an impact in this role will be a function of:
- Accuracy & timeliness of financial reporting: Monthly and annual closings delivered on schedule with minimal corrections required.
- Process improvement: Implementation or enhancement of internal financial processes (e.g. reporting forecasting contract review workflows) that demonstrably reduce errors or manual workload.
- Business support quality: High-quality financial insights and reports that help the CFO and Operations make better decisions.
- Scalability contribution: Active participation in building a finance function that supports company growth - establishing structures documentation and controls.
What will the selection process look like
- Screening Interview (45 minutes). One of our Recruiters will run it. The purpose is to better understand your motivation for the role and assess how you match the roles core requirements.
- Technical interview (60-90 minutes). This session will be led by our CFO and will focus on your practical finance/controlling knowledge problem-solving skills and how you approach real-life scenarios relevant to the role. Its an opportunity for both sides to understand how a potential future collaboration would look like between the two of you.
- Cultural Fit Interview (60 minutes). With our Head of People. The focus will be on discussing more in-depth ways of working debriefing your performance during the interview process and pre-aligning on possible goals and focus post joining.
- Meet the team (30-45 minutes). Well this is a small team so youre going to meet our one and only Finance Assistant. Its about getting to know each other and see what a future collaboration would look like between the two of you.

Total compensation
The gross salary for this is up toHUF / month depending on your assessed seniority level during the selection process.
