POSITION SUMMARY

Purpose of Role

To fulfil the purchasing requirements of the hotel and ensure all are met in a timely cost effective manner and meet the quality standards of the hotel.

To maintain professional and ethical relationships with suppliers at all times.

Cast Key Responsibilities

to all standards and procedures set out in the Talent Handbook and act in compliance with Starwoods Business Code of Conduct.

to the hotels Purchasing policy and procedures when carrying out all purchases.

suppliers impartially; based upon cost ability to meet product specifications efficiency and quality of their operations delivery on a timely basis as required and ability to source goods locally to avoid lengthy importation delays.

routine market surveys for fresh food items at least bi-monthly and prepare report in a timely manner.

collection of supplier quotations and samples (when necessary) on a timely basis for each purchase and submit purchase requisition for required up on purchase orders awaiting approval to ensure operational needs are fulfilled.

orders with suppliers and ensure timely delivery to meet hotel operation needs.

purchase order into purchasing system on the day of and circulate copies of purchase order as per hotels Purchasing policy and procedures.

with perspective departments to ensure that requirements regarding quality and service from supplier are being met.

continuous communication with all departments / divisions to understand operational requirements.

team work.

up on outstanding purchase orders and advise operating departments on order status.

and process any import declarations and required documents. Ensure Customs Duty for imported items are paid on time.

review contracted supplies to ensure prices are still competitive.

confidentiality of supplier information and contracts.
