Under the general supervision of the Faculty Affairs Director the Receptionist/Office Assistant greets and provides courteous service to students faculty staff and other visitors and assists with routine administrative tasks for Faculty Affairs.
Capable of engaging with faculty staff students and visitors in a friendly and professional manner. Ability to communicate with an ethnically and culturally diverse campus community. Ability to take initiative and problem-solve. Adept at managing phone interactions according to protocol. Possesses strong communication skills both oral and written with a thorough understanding of English grammar spelling and punctuation. Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information. Knowledge of standard office procedures and software (MS Office Suite) Internet Outlook Teams.
Ability to communicate with an ethnically and culturally diverse campus community. Ability to follow all university policies procedures and guidelines including but not limited to safety civility information security and non-discrimination policies and procedures. Salary placement is determined by the education experience and qualifications the candidate brings to the position internal equity and the hiring departments fiscal resources.
Hiring Range: The hiring range for this position is $3565 (Step 1) - $3709 (Step 3) per month commensurate with candidates education experience skills and training.
CSU Classification Salary Range: The CSU Classification Salary Range for this position is $3565 (Step 1) - $5092 (Step #19 )per month.
1.0 time-base 40 hours per week.
This is a temporary position for one year with no permanent status granted. Temporary assignments may expire prior to the ending date.
